Shipping policy

You see the shipping choices and the price at checkout, on the delivery step, before you pay. Nothing is added after the order is placed. This demonstration does not publish a rate card, because the price depends on the option you pick and on what is in the box. A shop that adopts the site can name its carriers and its prices here.

Who can order

You must be 21 or older. We ship to the address you enter at checkout. A post office box can be limited, because tobacco often has to be signed for by an adult and some carriers will not leave that at a box.

This demonstration is aimed at customers in the United States. It does not yet refuse an address on its own. A production shop would turn that check on.

How long it takes

The date you see at checkout is an estimate, in business days, and it is not a promise. Weekends and holidays are not business days. An order placed late in the day ships the next business day. In-stock items ship from our warehouse. If an item is not in stock, we do not charge you for a product we cannot send. We write to you and you can wait, swap it, or cancel that line.

Weather, a carrier delay, and a hold for an adult signature can add time. We are not the carrier. The tracking number is the record of where the box is.

Signature

A shipment that contains tobacco can require an adult signature, whichever method you chose. Someone 21 or older needs to be there to sign. If nobody is there, the carrier leaves a notice and tries again, or holds the box. A box that comes back to us as unclaimed is treated as a return of an unopened order. Write to us if that happens and you still want it sent.

What the charge is

The price at checkout is the shipping charge for the method and the order in front of you. It is not a tax. This page does not list a free-shipping minimum, a carrier menu, or a table of days-by-state. A shop that adopts the site can add those when they are real. Until then, the checkout quote is the only price.

Cigars should not arrive loose in the carton. If the box shows up crushed, keep the packing and the photo the return policy asks for. We are not the carrier. Tracking is the record of where the carton is. A delay after it has left us is the carrier's, and we will still help you read the tracking and, if the carton is lost, treat it from the order number.

Outside the United States

This demonstration quotes shipping for an address in the United States. It does not publish a separate international rate, and it does not list states or countries it refuses. A production shop writes that list here, including any military or post-office-box limits its carrier actually enforces.

Where tobacco can go

Some states restrict or prohibit shipment of cigars, little cigars, or flavored tobacco to a residence. If a carrier cannot deliver the tobacco in your order to your state, that part of the order cannot be completed. Accessories and apparel are not tobacco. They can still ship when the cigars cannot. The checkout is where that split would show. This version of the shop does not yet apply those state rules by itself.

Sales tax and any tobacco excise tax that applies to your state are added at checkout when the shop is set up to collect them. They are not a shipping charge.

Fuel, and large pieces

Butane and other fuel are hazardous to fly. They ship by ground, they take longer, and an overnight option will not be offered for them. Do not ask a carrier to put an open canister on a plane.

A large humidor or another oversized piece ships by ground. The driver delivers to the address. The driver is not there to carry it up stairs or to unbox it. The checkout shows the charge for that before you pay.

If the box is late or damaged

When the order ships, we email the address on the order with the tracking number. You can also see it on the order in your account.

If tracking has not moved for several business days, or the box arrives crushed, write to us with the order number and, for damage, a photo of the carton and the item. See the return policy for how a damaged item is replaced or refunded. Keep the packing until we have answered.
